At ProjectEngin, we believe that the best processes are grounded in prior experiences and accomplishments. Although STEM may be a new acronym, at its heart it represents the integration of resources already present in most schools. You already have math and science teachers who are expert in their subject areas, equipment in your labs and learners who are ready to “do”. Our goal is to help you to connect it all in a content-rich, skills focused manner. We will work together with your teachers to innovate an engineering approach in their classrooms.
Our process is not about teaching your students or your teachers; we guide them as they learn how to engineer and pursue design solutions. In a science or math class, connections to key subject concepts and ideas are paramount in any project. And since we view the 21st century skills of creativity, critical thinking ,communication and collaboration as engineering “habits of mind”, we work hard to incorporate all of those skills in the design projects we help you create. Our process encourages young people to ask questions, identify problems and formulate creative solutions.
“Too often we give children answers to remember rather than problems to solve.”
